Overloaded E-bike Causes Serious Injury in Frankfurt Accident

An e-bike accident in Frankfurt on Sunday evening, October 26, 2025, left a 72-year-old rider with serious injuries. The incident occurred as the man attempted to mount his overloaded e-bike near the Nidda River, heading towards the paved pedestrian path on Marquardstraße. The e-bike, weighed down by an excessive load, became unstable when the man tried to mount it. This caused him to lose balance and fall, resulting in serious injuries. The 72-year-old was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Frankfurt police spokesperson confirmed the incident and suspects the overloaded e-bike to be the cause of the accident. The police are investigating the incident. The 72-year-old's condition is currently unknown.
