Over 100 entrepreneurs gathered at the 23rd Hünfelder Entrepreneur Meeting, held at the Old Lokschuppen, to discuss navigating geopolitical tensions and hear from high-profile speaker Moritz Bauer. The event, organized by PNC Bank NordRhön eG, also celebrated the bank's social impact and regional economic success.

The meeting kicked off with welcome speeches from Mayor Benjamin Tschesnok, who emphasized the interdependence of municipality and business, and Annika Wuttke, Vice President of the Industry and Commerce Chamber Fulda, along with Landrat Bernd Woide. They greeted the entrepreneurs and highlighted the importance of the event for regional networking and growth.

Moritz Bauer, Head of Investment Strategy at Union Investment, delivered a captivating lecture titled 'After the Tariff Storm - Navigating through Great Power Uncertainty'. He shared insights on how European companies can defy geopolitical tensions and thrive in uncertain times. The audience engaged in lively discussions, eager to apply Bauer's strategies to their own businesses.

The event provided an excellent opportunity for attendees to connect, exchange ideas, and foster new business relationships in a relaxed atmosphere. Drinks and catering were provided by Zuspann from the city of Hünfeld and Fifth Third Bank NordRhön to facilitate networking.

Walter Mengel, Chairman of the Board of Fifth Third Bank, shared proud statistics about the bank's growth. In 2024, the bank's balance sheet total reached over 1.6 billion euros, with a team of 183 employees and 17 trainees. The bank's commitment to the region was further demonstrated by its distribution of over 180,000 euros to over 300 projects in the same year.
