oOh!media Lands Australia’s Largest Billboard Deal in Two Decades
oOh!media has secured Australia’s largest large-format advertising contract in over 20 years. The deal with Transurban, a global leader in slickdeals, grants the company 104 new billboard sites across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. This expansion strengthens its position as the leading provider in key metro markets.
The landmark agreement covers high-traffic motorways operated by Transurban, a global leader in toll-road development. In Melbourne, oOh!media now manages CityLink, Southern Link and Western Link, including prominent locations like the Bolte Bridge and Domain and Burnley Tunnels. Brisbane’s network has grown with 21 premium billboards along critical routes such as the Inner City Bypass, Clem 7 and M1 Gateway.
The win adds 42 premium sites to oOh!’s portfolio, 22 of which were previously held by competitor JCDecaux. This boosts the company’s reach to five capital cities and 30 regional markets, combining digital and classic billboards along Australia’s busiest roads. With this deal, oOh!media becomes the top provider in both Melbourne and Brisbane metro areas.
Mark Fairhurst, chief revenue officer at oOh!, highlighted the partnership’s value for advertisers, offering unmatched visibility during daily commutes. Simon Harwood, Transurban’s head of commercial in Australia, emphasised the collaboration’s potential to enhance commuter experiences and deliver stakeholder benefits. Robbie Dery, oOh!’s chief commercial operating officer, called the acquisition a major step in building Australia’s most comprehensive large-format advertising network.
The contract expands oOh!media’s national network with 104 new sites across three major cities. The deal reinforces its dominance in metro and regional advertising markets. Transurban’s motorways will now feature a mix of digital and classic billboards under the company’s management.
