Offenbach’s Tempelsee district begins €2M sewer renewal project next week
A significant sewer renewal project is set to commence in Offenbach’s Tempelsee district. The work, commencing on March 25, will replace aging concrete pipes installed between 1934 and 1938. The €2 million project is anticipated to continue until spring 2025.
The current sewer lines have experienced extensive damage, leading to leaks and making repairs inevitable. Offenbach’s municipal utility company, Stadtwerke Offenbach, will oversee the work through its civil engineering division. Approximately one kilometre of pipes will be replaced, with construction proceeding in 50-metre segments.
The renovation will address decades-old infrastructure issues in the district. Residents can expect enhanced sewer reliability once the 15-month project is completed. The total cost of the upgrade has been set at €2 million.
