Offenbach’s New Marina Transforms the Harbor Into a Waterfront Hub

The marina will occupy a 4,500-square-metre stretch of the city-owned waterfront in the harbor basin. Under a ten-year lease, with an option to extend, Onwater GmbH will manage the site and offer a range of activities. These include boat licence courses, rafting tours, stand-up paddleboarding, and water yoga—all using electric boats powered by renewable energy.

The marina project marks a shift in how Offenbach’s harbor will be used. If the city council ratifies the decision on March 21, Onwater GmbH will take over operations the following month. The development will introduce new activities while expanding public access to the waterfront.
