Offenbach expands city administration with 13 new trainees this year
Offenbach has welcomed 13 new trainees to its city administration this month. The group marks a slight increase from last year's intake, with four more recruits joining the programme. Officials plan to expand opportunities further in 2025, aiming for 25 apprentices across various roles.
The latest cohort began their training on September 1. Before settling into their departments, they will complete a central introductory internship. Beate Rƶschmann, Jessica FiĆler, and Manfred Keller greeted the newcomers at the start of their programme.
The trainees will specialise in different fields. Administrative assistants and officers will study topics like administrative law, public finance, and social services. Two IT specialists will focus on planning and configuring IT systems. Additionally, students in the Public Administration degree programme will train alongside them. Applications for next year's intake are now open. Interested candidates have until October 11 to apply via the city's website. Offenbach emphasises that all trainees are prepared specifically for roles within its own departments, not for external employers.
The city's training scheme continues to grow, with 25 positions set for 2025. The programme covers both vocational and academic paths, ensuring a steady pipeline of skilled staff for local government. More details and application forms are available at www.offenbach.de/ausbildung.
