Oestrich-Winkel’s outdoor pool gets €192K upgrade for families and fun

The Hallgarten outdoor swimming pool in Oestrich-Winkel is set for a major upgrade. The town has secured €192,200 in state funding to modernise the facility and improve its appeal. The project aims to create a safer, more inviting space for visitors of all ages.

The renovation will focus on several key areas. The children's splash pad will be refurbished, and a dedicated parent-child area will be added. Meanwhile, the lower sunbathing lawn will become a multi-use space for sports and leisure activities.

Technical improvements are also part of the plan. An outdated EBRO valve will be replaced to enhance water treatment efficiency and reduce energy use. The upgrades align with Hesse's SWIMplus programme, which supports projects that make swimming facilities more family-friendly and accessible.

The goal is to transform the pool into a modern, inclusive space where people can relax, exercise, and spend time together.

With state funding secured, Oestrich-Winkel can now move forward with the renovations. The updated pool will offer better facilities for families, children, and seniors. The project also ensures more reliable and sustainable water management for the future.
