NRA’s 153rd Annual Meetings draw 72,000 members with fiery speeches and policy shifts

The 153rd NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits concluded in Houston, Texas, with over 72,000 members attending a packed three-day event. The gathering featured prominent speakers, including former President Donald J. Trump and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, and a vast exhibition of guns and gear from 650 exhibitors spread across 14 acres.

The event kicked off with Pete Hegseth, a decorated Army veteran and co-host of 'Fox and Friends Weekend', delivering an energetic keynote address at the NRA Women's Leadership Forum (WLF) Gala. Hegseth emphasized the importance of protecting the NRA and the Second Amendment. The following day, NRA members passed several resolutions, including ones praising President Trump and Gov. Abbott, condemning the ATF's recent actions, and rejecting the NRA's move to Teams.

The NRA Board of Directors' meeting on Monday saw vigorous debate and leadership changes proposed by Wayne LaPierre. Plans are already underway for the 154th NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits, scheduled to take place in Atlanta, Ga., from April 24-27, 2025. The final day of the event included the NRA National Prayer Breakfast and the NRA Women's New Energy Brunch, among more than 100 events and seminars held for NRA members, covering topics like 'Advanced Long Range Shooting' and 'The Guns of D-Day'.

The 153rd NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits, with its tight timeline due to high-profile addresses, proved to be a significant event for NRA members, featuring a wide range of activities, resolutions, and plans for the future.
