Norbert Eyer sworn in as Hanau's Local Court III president in Wolfgang
Date: 01.10.2025
Following approval from the magistrate of the city of Hanau, the city council, and the local council of Großauheim/Wolfgang, Norbert Eyer has been sworn in as 'Local Court President Hanau III Wolfgang' by Judge Eva Schmidtbleicher of the Regional Court. Eyer succeeds Frank Amhaus.
Mayor Claus Kaminsky emphasized the importance of local courts and thanked Frank Amhaus for his long-standing commitment: 'Local courts are reliable points of contact for many legal and personal matters in daily life. With Norbert Eyer, Wolfgang gains a committed individual from the neighborhood who is ready to take responsibility and work for the common good.'
Norbert Eyer, born in 1972 and resident in Hanau-Wolfgang, succeeds Frank Amhaus, who held the position since November 2014. On his own request, Amhaus did not extend his term. He was officially bid farewell by Judge Schmidtbleicher during the swearing-in ceremony.
Local courts in Hesse handle a wide range of tasks: they certify signatures, secure estates, assess property values, and support citizens and courts in important matters. For certifying signatures, such as for land registry entries or powers of attorney, a notary is not always required. This simplifies processes, saves time and costs, and strengthens citizen-oriented administration. Hanau has six local courts, including Wolfgang (III), Innenstadt (I; responsible also for Kesselstadt, Weststadt, Nordwest, Lamboy-Tümpelgarten), Großauheim (II), Klein-Auheim (IV), Steinheim (V), and Mittelbuchen (IV).
