Nobian Takes Full Control of Its Calcium Chloride Supply Chain
Nobian is taking full control of its calcium delivery supply chain by ending a long-term partnership with Tetra Chemicals Europe. The company will now deliver the product directly from its Frankfurt facility. This move comes as demand for the versatile chemical continues to rise across multiple industries.
Calcium chloride is an inorganic salt used in de-icing, dust suppression, food processing, oil and gas operations, and water treatment. Its environmental benefits include lower corrosiveness compared to traditional road salt and the ability to remove pollutants in water systems. The global market for the chemical is growing strongly, driven by infrastructure projects, construction activity, and stricter regulations on fine dust control.
Nobian's decision to integrate calcium chloride into its commercial portfolio follows increasing customer demand for sustainable and reliable chemical solutions. The company will now manage deliveries directly, shortening supply chains and providing customers with improved access to its customer service teams.
Andreas Lowjaga, Product & Account Manager at Nobian, confirmed that customers will continue receiving the same high-quality product. The shift also means they will benefit from direct commercial engagement and dedicated support from Nobian's specialists.
Markus Mingenbach, Senior Vice President, explained that expanding the company's chemical offerings strengthens its long-term position in Europe. While no new customer has been named to replace Tetra Chemicals Europe, Nobian's Frankfurt site will handle all future deliveries.
The change allows Nobian to meet rising demand while offering customers a more streamlined supply process. Direct deliveries from Frankfurt will ensure faster access to calcium chloride for industries relying on its properties. The company's expanded portfolio reflects its focus on sustainability and long-term market growth.
