Merz inaugurates Niedax Campus - 500 jobs for Rhineland-Palatinate - Niedax's Infinite Campus Opens as a Hub for Europe's Digital Infrastructure Boom

Chancellor Friedrich Merz has officially opened Niedax's new infinite campus in Rhineland-Palatinate. The facility will serve as a hub for infrastructure projects across Germany and Europe. It also includes the Synnoscape Experience Center, where visitors can explore modern solutions firsthand.

Niedax specialises in electrical installation products, with over 50,000 items used in various industries. The company employs around 2,800 people across 81 locations in 30 countries, including sites in Europe, China and India.

The new infinite campus is set to create up to 500 additional jobs. From here, Niedax will coordinate projects like expanding resilient fibre-optic networks along roughly 33,000 kilometres of railway tracks. The company also plans to work with partners on developing small and medium-sized data centres.

As part of Sievert Baustoffe, Niedax operates at around 60 locations globally. The infinite campus will play a key role in launching and managing future infrastructure initiatives.

The Rhineland-Palatinate site will boost Niedax's ability to roll out large-scale projects. Its focus on fibre-optic networks and data centre development aligns with growing demand for digital infrastructure. The company's expansion is expected to strengthen its position in both German and European markets.
