New Parking Rules in Martinsviertel & Johannesviertel: Earlier Start, Later End, Longer Stays

Parking regulations in Martinsviertel Ost (WA1), Martinsviertel West (WA2), and Johannesviertel (JO) have been updated. Paid parking now begins earlier on Mondays and ends later each day, with an increased maximum duration.

Drivers in the affected zones will notice changes starting this week. Paid parking will commence at 06:00 on Mondays, an hour earlier than previously. Additionally, the paid parking period has been extended by an hour, concluding at 21:00 daily.

The maximum parking duration has also been increased, from two to four hours. This adjustment aims to accommodate longer stays in the area. To implement these changes, around 70 parking ticket machines will be reprogrammed to reflect the new rates and duration.

In other news, parts of Bessenburg have been integrated into Darmstadt's park management system. This includes the main recreational areas and public green spaces within the Bessenburg district, ensuring better maintenance and accessibility for residents and visitors alike.

Meanwhile, Bessenburg's key recreational areas and green spaces are now under Darmstadt's park management system, promising improved upkeep and access.
