Neue Arbeit Ittertal gGmbH (NAI) has filed for insolvency, with preliminary proceedings underway. The company, which offers chances for the long-term unemployed, anticipates insolvency by the end of the year. NAI, a certified provider under labor promotion law, has applied for a three-month preliminary insolvency period. During this time, employee wages will be covered by the Federal Employment Agency. The company offers up to 60 positions, funded by Solingen’s job center and the Federal Employment Agency. NAI serves as a service provider for the Ittertal leisure facility’s support association, employing 21 permanent staff. Despite NAI’s insolvency, the Ittertal Support Association, as the facility’s tenant, remains unaffected. Both parties collaborate to assist the long-term unemployed through opportunities and social counseling. Insolvency administrator Robert Fliegner will engage the cities of Düsseldorf, Hilden, and Leverkusen, along with relevant social organizations, in discussions to secure short-term financial stability and realign NAI. Rüdiger Gruß, owner of the Quitte restaurant, has assured that all planned events will proceed as scheduled.
