Neu-Isenburg police uncover safety and legal violations in bar raids
Police in Neu-Isenburg conducted surprise checks at local restaurants and bars on Monday evening. The inspections focused on adherence to hospitality regulations and youth protection laws. Nine venues were visited, with officers examining both premises and patrons.
During the operation, officers discovered several breaches of safety and legal requirements. Three fire extinguishers had expired inspection tags, and three venues lacked proper emergency exit signs. In two cases, the mandatory display of the Youth Protection Act was outdated.
A 17-year-old was found in the smoking area of one establishment, violating age restrictions. Officers from Gelnhausen and Offenbach stations also conducted drug recognition checks earlier that afternoon. In total, 62 individuals were screened during the inspections. All identified violations were recorded, and administrative proceedings have now been initiated against the responsible parties.
The checks revealed multiple failures in safety and legal compliance across the inspected venues. Authorities have begun formal follow-up actions against those found in breach. Further details on specific penalties or corrective measures have not yet been released.
