Naurod's bulky waste pickup returns with strict sorting rules in February
Naurod, a district of Wiesbaden, has set its next bulky waste collection for February 19 and 20. Residents must follow strict rules on sorting and disposal to avoid penalties. Certain items, like renovation waste and glass panes, will not be accepted at all.
The collection will cover two zones over two days. On February 19, crews will pick up waste from Obergasse, Auringer StraĂe, and streets in the northeast. The following day, February 20, the focus shifts to southwest streets, including the Erbsenacker housing estate.
Residents must separate bulky waste into two groups: large furniture and carpets in one pile, and metal parts with electrical appliances in another. Items like bundled garden waste, mirrors, and residual waste are banned from the collection. Scavenging through discarded piles is also forbidden and may lead to fines.
Unlike other Wiesbaden districts, where collections happen by appointment, Naurod has fixed dates four times a year: February, May, August, and November. All waste must be placed at the curb the evening before the scheduled pickup.
The upcoming collection aims to keep Naurod clean and organized. Residents who miss the February dates will have another chance in May. Failure to follow the sorting rules could result in waste being left behind or fines issued.
