Mysterious trash bin fire near school sparks police investigation

A burning trash bin near a school complex in Mörfelden-Walldorf caused concern on Saturday evening, October 25. The fire was spotted by a cyclist around 8:30 p.m. and swiftly extinguished by local firefighters.

The incident occurred on An den Nussbäumen street, close to a school complex. Police are investigating the cause of the fire, which is currently unknown. Witnesses who may have seen suspicious activity are urged to contact the Mörfelden-Walldorf police station at +49 6105 4006-0.

Volunteers from the Walldorf Fire Department responded promptly, managing to put out the blaze and prevent it from spreading further. The quick action of the firefighters averted a potential larger incident.

The police, led by Polizeipräsidentin Daniela Schmitt, continue to probe the cause of the trash can fire. Residents and passersby are encouraged to share any relevant information to aid the investigation.
