Multiple daycare burglaries in Fulda leave damage and stolen goods overnight

Multiple daycare burglaries in Fulda leave damage and stolen goods overnight

Several childcare centres near me in Fulda and the surrounding area were broken into overnight between Wednesday and Thursday. The incidents left behind damaged property and stolen items. Police are now investigating the string of burglaries.

The first break-in happened at a kindergarten on Eichendorffstraße in Petersberg. Thieves forced their way in, causing around €500 in damage. They stole a small amount of cash and a music player.

A facility on Amand-Ney-Straße in Fulda was also targeted. The building was ransacked, with roughly €300 worth of property damage reported. No details on stolen items have been confirmed yet.

Further incidents took place at locations on Goerderlerstraße and Martin-Luther-Platz in Fulda. These attacks resulted in about €1,200 of combined damage. The value of any missing belongings remains unclear.

All the burglaries occurred between Wednesday evening (14 January 2026) and early Thursday morning (15 January 2026). Authorities have not yet identified any suspects.

The overnight raids left multiple daycare centres with broken doors, ransacked rooms, and missing items. Police continue to gather evidence but have not released further details. The total cost of repairs and losses is still being assessed.
