MTU Aero Engines has reported a robust third quarter, with revenue and profits surging. The German engine manufacturer has also raised its outlook for 2025 following a strong summer performance.

The company now expects adjusted operating profit to rise by a mid-twenties percentage this year. Net profit also climbed by more than 18% to €250 million.
Cash flow is projected to exceed earlier estimates, reaching between €350 million and €400 million. This would bring earnings to around €1.3 billion, up from previous guidance of low- to mid-twenties growth. MTU has attributed its increased earnings outlook for 2025 to its strong third-quarter performance and a positive market environment, influenced by an improved outlook from its US competitor, GE Aerospace.
