Moldovan Man Caught at Frankfurt Airport With Fake Romanian ID
A 45-year-old Moldovan national was stopped at Frankfurt Airport after trying to enter Germany with a fake Romanian ID card. Federal Police detected the forgery on January 5 and immediately blocked his global entry.
The man arrived at Frankfurt Airport intending to work in Germany without the required permits. Officers from the Federal Police examined his documents and found the Romanian identification card to be counterfeit.
Following the discovery, authorities refused him entry into the country. An official entry and residence ban was issued against him, preventing any future attempts to cross the border legally or illegally. Criminal proceedings have now been launched against the individual. The case will be handled by German prosecutors, who will determine further legal action.
The man remains barred from entering Germany under the terms of the ban. His forged ID card was confiscated, and he faces potential charges related to document fraud and unauthorised global entry attempts. The Federal Police continue to monitor border security at major entry points.
