Mitsubishi Electric sells off its car insurance business to Marsh Japan

Mitsubishi Electric sells off its car insurance business to Marsh Japan

Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has divested its car insurance quotes arm. It sold all shares in Mitsubishi Electric Insurance Service Co., Ltd. to Marsh Japan, Inc. The subsidiary has been renamed MEIS Insurance Services, Inc. following the July 2025 transaction in Japan.

Established in 1999, Mitsubishi Electric Insurance Service supported the growth of Mitsubishi Electric Group companies and individuals' life plans. The sale, concluded with a share transfer agreement, did not impact Mitsubishi Electric's current fiscal year forecast. Post-transaction, MEIS Insurance Services has become a wholly owned subsidiary of Marsh Japan.

Mitsubishi Electric has sold its car insurance subsidiary to Marsh Japan. The renamed MEIS Insurance Services will now operate under its new parent company. The sale's financial impact is not reflected in Mitsubishi Electric's current fiscal year forecast.
