Merger of 'Post Bank' and VTB will expand customer options in the Kuban region
VTB Bank has expanded its services across Krasnodar Krai after merging with Pochta Bank. The move brings financial access to 377 small towns and villages previously underserved by traditional banks. Residents can now open accounts, transfer funds, and use banking services through local postal offices.
The merger aims to simplify banking for rural communities. Customers can transfer their accounts in about 20 minutes using just a passport and mobile phone. Existing cards remain valid, with new bonuses and privileges activating immediately after the switch.
Pensioners have shown strong interest in the transition. Alexandra Nedelko, a local resident, received a 3,000-ruble bonus when she moved her account to VTB. The bank offers seniors additional perks, including cashback on card payments, higher savings interest, and free fraud protection insurance. Sergei Kadakin, head of VTBâs Krasnodar Krai branch, oversees the process. Bank staff provide step-by-step guidance, particularly for older customers. Full integration of all services is expected by May next year.
The merger increases financial inclusion in remote areas of Krasnodar Krai. Residents now have easier access to banking, while pensioners benefit from immediate bonuses and long-term privileges. The transition process remains simple, with support available for those needing assistance.
