Only 300 will exist—each with 0.25-carat diamonds in the door pins. This is extreme luxury, even for a G-Class. But is it worth the splurge?

Mercedes-Benz Unveils a $200K G-Class With Real Diamonds Embedded

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a luxury off-roader unlike any other. The 'Stronger Than Diamonds Edition' of the G-Class adds real diamonds to its design, raising the price to over $200,000. Only 300 of these exclusive vehicles will be made worldwide.

This special edition starts with the G 550, a model powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V-8 engine. It delivers 416 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque, matching the standard version. The extra cost—$56,950 more than the base G 550—goes toward bespoke features rather than performance upgrades.

Each vehicle wears exclusive Rosewood Grey Magno paint and diamond logos on the door handles. Inside, black nappa leather covers the seats, while deep-pile floor mats and stainless steel badging add to the opulence. The most striking detail is the 0.25-carat diamonds embedded in all four door locking pins.

Mercedes-Benz ensures the diamonds are ethically sourced, backed by a certificate from the Responsible Jewelry Council. The automaker has not revealed how many of the 300 units will reach the U.S. market. Meanwhile, the standard G 550 may soon switch to an inline-6 engine for the 2025 model year.

The 'Stronger Than Diamonds Edition' blends extreme luxury with the G-Class’s rugged reputation. Priced at $201,100, it targets buyers seeking exclusivity and high-end detailing. The limited run of 300 units ensures rarity, though U.S. availability remains uncertain.
