Cannabis Farm Discovered in Vacant House - Massive illegal cannabis farm uncovered in vacant German home
A large-scale cannabis plant cultivation operation has been discovered in a vacant residential building in Seligenstadt. Utility workers stumbled upon the operation while investigating a power outage on Kettelerstraße. Over 1,500 plants had already been harvested from the site before its discovery.
The operation was found after employees from a local utility company arrived at the property to address an electrical fault. Inside, they noticed rows of large plant pots and immediately alerted the police.
When officers searched the building, they found only soil, roots, and remnants of cannabis plants. The absence of live crops suggested the harvest had already taken place. Investigators now believe the facility was part of a professional plant cultivation operation due to its size and the advanced equipment in use.
The criminal investigation unit has since taken charge of the case. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the operation to come forward and assist with the inquiry.
The discovery highlights the scale of illegal cannabis plant production in the area. Police continue to examine the site for further evidence. Witnesses or individuals with relevant details are being asked to contact the investigation team.
