Massive Fire Destroys Agricultural Warehouse in Volkmarsen Overnight

A major fire broke out at an agricultural storage warehouse in Volkmarsen during the early hours of Tuesday, November 11, 2025. The blaze engulfed feed and fertilizer stored inside the building on Lüttersheimer Straße, causing significant damage. The fire began around 1:00 AM, with no one inside the facility at the time. Flames quickly spread through pallets loaded with agricultural supplies, including feed and fertilizer. The criminal investigation unit in Korbach is examining the cause of the incident. Meanwhile, the State Criminal Police Office of Hesse (Landeskriminalamt Hessen) has taken over the lead role in the inquiry. Early estimates place the financial loss at roughly €100,000. Authorities continue to investigate how the fire started. The warehouse remains closed as assessments of the damage take place. No injuries have been reported in connection with the incident.
