Massive cannabis farm busted in Central Hesse with 700 plants seized

Police in Central Hesse have uncovered a large-scale cannabis cultivation operation following an investigation. A 50-year-old man was arrested in connection with the case and later remanded in custody due to concerns he might flee.

The operation was discovered after officers found around 700 cannabis plants and 20 kilograms of packaged marijuana. Inside the property, investigators also seized extensive indoor growing equipment, multiple knives, and several blank-firing and air-powered weapons. A total of €30,000 in cash was recovered during the search.

The case remains under active investigation, with the arrested man held in pretrial detention. Authorities continue to examine the seized evidence, including the cannabis plants, weapons, and cash. Further updates are expected as the inquiry progresses.
