Masked robbers steal cigarettes in daring Frankfurt warehouse heist

A warehouse in Frankfurt-Eckenheim was targeted by thieves late on January 26, 2026. Five masked individuals broke in around 10:25 p.m., stealing tobacco and cigarette filters. During the robbery, an employee was threatened with what looked like a gun. The incident took place at a warehouse on Porthstraße. At approximately 22:25 Uhr, a group of five people entered the building. They wore dark clothing, hoods, and woolen hats, with some showing three-day stubble. The suspects confronted an employee inside. One pointed an object that resembled a firearm, forcing the worker to comply. After taking tobacco and cigarette filters, the group fled the scene on foot. Police have launched an investigation but have yet to identify the suspects. The stolen goods and the weapon's authenticity remain unconfirmed. The robbery left the employee unharmed but shaken. Authorities are reviewing security footage and searching for leads. Anyone with information about the incident has been urged to come forward.
