A gas station in Rodenbach, Main-Kinzig district, was robbed by three unknown men on Tuesday evening. The incident took place on January 20, 2026, with the assailants escaping with several hundred euros. Police have launched an appeal for witnesses to help track them down.
The robbery unfolded when one of the men, wearing a mask and dressed in black, entered the station and struck the counter with a hammer. He also appeared to carry an object resembling a firearm. Meanwhile, a second suspect stood by the door, acting as a lookout. The third robber overpowered a customer before the group fled the scene.
The trio made off on foot toward Leipziger Straße, carrying the stolen cash in a black sports bag. Police conducted an extensive search of the area but found no trace of the suspects. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported during the incident. Descriptions of the robbers have been released to aid the investigation. The first suspect is around 1.70 metres tall, stocky, and wore black clothing. The other two are described as slim, with one wearing light pants, a black top, and dark shoes, while the third had light pants and black shoes.
The three suspects remain at large, and no arrests have been made so far. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in identifying the assailants. The investigation into the robbery continues.
