Masked Gunman Robs Offenbach Arcade in Early-Morning Heist
Police in Offenbach are hunting for a suspect after an armed robbery at an arcade early Sunday morning. The incident took place at around 3:15 AM on Sprendlinger Landstraße, where a masked man threatened staff and stole cash before fleeing the scene.
The robbery unfolded when a man entered the arcade and approached a 48-year-old female employee. He was armed with a small black handgun and wore a dark scarf covering his face. After demanding money from the register, he forced the worker to transfer the cash into an orange plastic bag with a floral pattern.
The suspect is described as between 1.70 and 1.75 meters tall, aged 25 to 30, and dressed entirely in black. He fled on foot toward the city centre immediately after the robbery. Despite extensive search efforts, officers have yet to locate him. The Criminal Investigation Department has now taken charge of the case. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and contact police at +49 69 8098-1234. Investigators have not released further details about the suspect’s identity or possible accomplices.
The search for the armed robber continues, with police relying on witness accounts to track him down. The distinctive orange bag with a floral pattern remains a key detail in the investigation. Anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area at the time is encouraged to assist with the inquiry.
