Masked burglars strike Lich’s new residential area in early-morning raids

Three unknown individuals carried out burglaries in Lich's new residential area between Monday night (November 3) and Tuesday (November 4). The incidents occurred between 3:00 AM and 4:00 AM, with two garden sheds broken into and a garage attempted to be forced open. Two bicycles were stolen. No suspicious activities were reported in the area during the night.

The suspects were described as three men wearing distinctive clothing. Two wore light-colored hooded sweatshirts, ski masks, and gloves, with one having a reflective Nike logo on their sweatpants. The third suspect wore a black-and-white cap and light upper clothes, also being masked. They were under the influence of intoxicants and became aggressive when approached by paramedics.

Police officers were called to the scene and used pepper spray to subdue one of the men, who was initially unresponsive. He was then taken into custody. Witnesses are urged to contact Giessen Criminal Police at 0641/7006-6555 for any information regarding the incident.

The burglaries in Lich's new residential area are currently under investigation. Police are treating the incident seriously and are appealing for witnesses to come forward. The stolen bicycles have not yet been recovered.
