Marburg’s city administration will shut down over the Christmas and New Year period. The closure runs from Wednesday, 24 December, through Friday, 2 January. Some essential services will still operate with limited hours during this time.

Most city offices, including the Office Depot at Frauenbergstraße 35, will remain closed until 2 January. However, the Citizen Services Office will offer pre-booked appointments on Monday, 29 December, and Tuesday, 30 December. Completed IDs and passports can also be collected without an appointment between 8 AM and 12 PM on those same days.

Residents needing urgent assistance can still reach certain departments by email or phone. Essential services will remain accessible, though with restricted availability. The city administration will fully reopen on Monday, 5 January.
