Marburg police probe assault, hit-and-run, and indecent exposure in citywide crime spree
Marburg police are investigating several incidents that occurred recently in the city. A man was assaulted in the Garden of Remembrance, and a vehicle was involved in a hit-and-run. Additionally, a suspect exposed himself at the university library.
On November 13, around 1:50 p.m., a man was punched in the face in the Garden of Remembrance. The attacker, described as a tall, dark-skinned man in his 40s with a distinctive wristwatch, fled the scene. The victim, around 180 cm tall with long gray braided hair, sustained injuries. The suspect, believed to be between 25 and 35 with a stocky build, was last seen boarding bus line 81.
Earlier, on November 11, a black Nissan Note crashed into a guardrail on L3088, causing €3,500 damage. The driver fled on foot. The vehicle was later found with missing license plates, suggesting they were removed or never fitted.
On November 9, a man exposed himself while watching a female student through a window at the university library. He fled toward Bunsenstraße. The suspect was described as a man with fair skin, short dark hair, and stubble, wearing a light gray hoodie and black sweatpants.
