Marburg-Biedenkopf sees modest drop in unemployment and welfare claims

Unemployment figures in the Marburg-Biedenkopf district have shown a slight improvement. In November, the number of people receiving basic welfare benefits dropped by 0.8% to 3,850. This marks a year-on-year decrease of 6.5% in the same category.

The latest data from the District Job Center reveals a small but steady decline in unemployment benefits. The total number of benefit households in the area fell by 1.6% to 6,758 in November. Meanwhile, the count of employable benefit recipients also decreased by 1.1%, bringing the figure to 9,104.

The district has seen a modest decline in unemployment and welfare dependency. With 3,850 people still receiving basic benefits, officials remain cautiously hopeful. Further updates will confirm whether the trend continues into the new year.
