Marburg-Biedenkopf Launches Free Dementia Resource Boxes for Early Support
A newly updated 'Dementia Information Box' is now available across Marburg-Biedenkopf. The project was developed jointly by the district council, the city of Marburg, and the local Alzheimer's Society. Residents can access free resources aimed at supporting those affected by early-stage dementia.
The initiative provides 65 physical boxes, placed in branches of Sparkasse Marburg-Biedenkopf. Each box contains ten envelopes packed with essential information. These include contacts for specialist doctors, regional counseling services, and practical advice for managing early dementia symptoms.
The envelopes are also distributed at multiple public locations. These include the district health department, BiP in Marburg, the district administration office, and care support centers in Biedenkopf and Stadtallendorf. For those preferring digital access, all materials are available online at www.marburg-biedenkopf.de/dementia.
No other local groups have been named as contributors beyond the district, the city, and the Alzheimer's Society.
The updated 'Dementia Information Box' offers both physical and digital support for families and individuals. Free materials are now easier to obtain through banks, health offices, and online. The project aims to ensure quick access to reliable guidance for early dementia care.
