Man's Year-Long Car Registration Nightmare at Sector 17 RTO

A man's car registration process turned into a year-long ordeal at the Regional Transport Office (RTO) in Sector 17. Despite no issues with the car itself, the author faced numerous challenges and delays. The author, who bought his first car, a Maruti, in 1997, visited the chaotic RTO in Sector 17 for registration. The process proved challenging, with repeated delays and new slips extending the process by three months each time. At one point, the author's file went missing, but a tout helped locate it after three months. Frustrated, the author threatened to abandon the car. The next day, the clerk personally handed over the registration certificate. However, the search results did not reveal the name of the clerk, KK Garg, met at the RTO. Despite the difficulties, the author agreed to a tout's offer to handle the registration for Rs 350. The car registration process took a year due to repeated delays and complications. The author eventually received the registration certificate, but not before facing numerous challenges and setbacks at the Sector 17 RTO.
