Luck for Victim of Attempted Robbery - Man's Phone Deflects Knife Blow in Hanau Robbery Attempt
A 47-year-old man had a narrow escape in Hanau last Friday evening when an attempted robbery turned violent. The victim's iPhone in his jacket deflected a potentially serious blow, preventing injury.
The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Brahmsweg. The victim was approached by a young man who demanded his bag and iPhone. When the victim refused, the assailant stabbed him in the chest with a sharp object. Fortunately, the victim's iPhone in his jacket deflected the blow, averting what could have been a tragic outcome.
The suspect is described as a man around 20 years old, of slender build, with black hair and a full beard. He is approximately 175 cm tall and was wearing a distinctive outfit: a black down vest, a top with white sleeves, black jogging pants with white stripes on the sides, and a waist bag. Police are actively searching for this individual.
The victim in this attempted robbery was lucky to escape with no serious injuries. The police are urging anyone with information about the suspect to come forward. The investigation is ongoing.
