After hours-long search: 23-year-old recovered dead from river - Man's body found in Diemel River after nightlong search in Kassel

A 23-year-old man has died after disappearing near the Diemel River in the Kassel district. His body was found by firefighters following an extensive search operation that began early Sunday morning.

The man had been walking home with friends between Trendelburg and Deisel after attending a party. At some point, he was lost sight of, and his companions quickly alerted the police.

Search teams, including helicopters, boats, and ground units, scoured the area for roughly six hours. Firefighters eventually discovered his lifeless body in the Diemel.

The exact cause of death remains unknown, and investigators have found no signs of foul play. Authorities will now examine the circumstances leading to the tragedy.
