Man dragged by FlixBus at Wiesbaden station in late-night accident
A man was seriously injured after being dragged by a city bus at Wiesbaden Central Station. The incident occurred when he tried to board the vehicle as it was pulling away. Police have now launched an investigation into what happened.
The accident took place outside the main station in the early hours. The man, who was heavily intoxicated, attempted to get on the Flixbus just as it began moving. He fell and was run over, then dragged several metres before the driver stopped.
The bus driver did not immediately realise what had happened and continued driving for a short distance. Emergency services arrived quickly and took the injured man to hospital. His condition was described as severe but not life-threatening.
Wiesbaden Police’s Regional Traffic Unit is leading the inquiry. A forensic expert examined the scene to piece together how the events unfolded.
