Man arrested in Wiesbaden for carrying banned telescopic baton during police check

A man, aged 30, ended up in a correctional facility in Wiesbaden on Tuesday, September 30, after witnesses saw him with a baton. According to the West Hessian Police Headquarters, several witnesses alerted officers around 9:10 PM about a group of people at a bus stop on Schiersteiner Street, with one man holding a baton. Multiple units responded and checked four men aged between 17 and 30 in the vicinity. One of them, a 30-year-old, was found to have a telescopic baton, which was seized, and a procedure was initiated for violating weapons laws. Upon checking his ID, officers discovered that he had an outstanding arrest warrant and a weapons ban. The 30-year-old's journey thus ended in a correctional facility in Frankfurt.
