Man Arrested for Assault, Knife Possession in Frankfurt's Alt-Sachsenhausen

Frankfurt police have arrested a 45-year-old man for assaulting a woman in the Alt-Sachsenhausen entertainment district. The incident occurred on October 3, 2025, and involved the man throwing a glass bottle at the woman during an argument.

The man, who was intoxicated, was found to be in possession of several knives during identity checks. Police secured five knives in total: three switchblades, a 'neck knife', and a pocket knife attached to a chain. Proceedings have been initiated against the owners of these secured knives. The arrested man was taken to the Frankfurt Police Headquarters' detention cells due to his homelessness and suspicion of residence law violation.

The police in Frankfurt continue to investigate the incident and will proceed with the legal process against the arrested man and the owners of the secured knives. No further details about the police officers involved have been released.
