Man Arrested After Failed Watch Theft, Seller Defends with Pepper Spray

The suspect had arranged to meet the seller to buy the watch but suddenly pulled out a knife, demanding the item without payment. The seller, acting in self-defence, used pepper spray to deter the suspect. The suspect then complied and waited for the police to arrive. Both parties were taken to the police headquarters for further processing. A criminal investigation has been initiated against the seller for violating weapons laws, as pepper spray is illegal in Germany without a permit.
The attempted theft and subsequent arrest have led to a criminal investigation. The suspect faces charges for the attempted robbery, while the seller is being investigated for violating weapons laws. Police are still processing the incident.
