Malwa-Nimar consumers clear Rs 83 lakh in dues under new electricity scheme
West Zone Electricity Distribution Company, led by Managing Director Anoop Kumar Singh, has effectively implemented the Electricity Bill Settlement Scheme across the Malwa-Nimar region. The scheme, designed to benefit consumers, has resulted in the collection of Rs 83 lakh in revenue and helped over 1,000 consumers clear their outstanding dues.
The scheme, which ran for a specified period, offered discounts ranging from 50% to 100% on existing surcharges for consumers with overdue bills for more than three months. To facilitate this, the company organized over 400 camps in various districts, including Indore city and rural areas, Dewas, Ujjain, Dhar, Shajapur, Agar, and other regions in the Malwa-Nimar area.
The response was overwhelming, with consumers eager to take advantage of the scheme. In total, the company managed to settle Rs 83 lakh in revenue through these camps. Additionally, consumers received discounts totaling Rs 13 lakh, demonstrating the scheme's success in helping consumers manage their electricity bills.
The Electricity Bill Settlement Scheme, spearheaded by Anoop Kumar Singh and his team, has proven to be a boon for consumers in the Malwa-Nimar region. With the successful implementation of the scheme, the West Zone Electricity Distribution Company has not only collected revenue but also provided significant relief to consumers, helping them clear their pending dues and receive substantial discounts.
