In a series of raids across Kassel, police have seized drugs worth thousands of euros, weapons, and cash. Several suspects, including a 47-year-old man suspected of running a thriving drug trade, have been identified and face criminal proceedings.
The operation began with the arrest of a 42-year-old man who attempted to hide a can containing eight cocaine pellets in a tree. He was also found in possession of a machete and over 30 grams of cannabis.
Simultaneously, two men aged 21 and 50, and a 44-year-old woman were suspected of dealing in cocaine and heroin independently. Police seized drugs, weapons, and cash from their apartments, totaling thousands of euros.
A 37-year-old man was observed handing over drugs to a group of men and was found with a small amount of heroin and drug paraphernalia.
The apartment of the 47-year-old man suspected of running a drug trade was searched, revealing a blank-firing revolver, several cocaine pellets, around 350 grams of cannabis, and prescription medications. A 35-year-old man with four arrest warrants for property offenses and narcotics trafficking was found in the apartment and arrested.
The 47-year-old man is now facing criminal proceedings for drug trafficking. He was already known to the authorities, having previously been found with drugs and weapons in his flat. The investigation is ongoing, with more arrests and seizures expected as police continue to dismantle suspected drug trafficking networks in Kassel.
