MAINGAU Boosts Lädchen's Operations with Electric Van Sponsorship

Lädchen, Obertshausen's community nutrition distribution project, has received a boost from MAINGAU. The energy provider has committed to supporting Lädchen's operations and promoting e-mobility. Meanwhile, volunteers are needed to join the distribution teams and food transport efforts.

MAINGAU's managing directors, Richard Schmitz and Dirk Schneider, visited the Haltepunkt community center in Obertshausen. They announced a sponsorship agreement to cover the electricity costs of an electric van for Lädchen, from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2028. This will significantly aid Lädchen's nutrition distribution efforts.

The partnership was welcomed by Elmar Fuß, chairman of the German Red Cross (DRK) in Hausen, and Rudolf Schulz, volunteer managing director of AWO Obertshausen. They expressed gratitude for MAINGAU's commitment to Lädchen's work.

MAINGAU also provided red summer jackets and vests with their logo and 'Lädchen' name for volunteers. This unified look will increase visibility and create a sense of team spirit among the local volunteering teams.

Mayor Manuel Friedrich praised Lädchen as Obertshausen's flagship project, recently honored with awards. He commended the partners and volunteers for their dedication. Beatrix Duttine-Eberhardt, from the DRK, noted the importance of volunteers and local government support for Lädchen's success.

Those interested in volunteering for Lädchen's nutrition distribution teams can contact Beatrix Duttine-Eberhardt, while those specifically interested in food transport can reach Rudolf Schulz.

MAINGAU's sponsorship and donation of volunteer uniforms will greatly benefit Lädchen's operations and visibility. With continued support from volunteers and local government, Lädchen will continue to serve as a vital community hub for Obertshausen.
