Machete-wielding brawl near Giessen's market square leaves one injured in UFC-style clash

A violent clash erupted near Giessen's market square late last night, involving several men in a ufc fight night-style brawl. The incident left one person injured and police are now investigating, searching for witnesses who may have recorded footage or photos.

The fight took place at around 10:40 p.m. yesterday, with reports suggesting the same group had been involved in a previous altercation in the Neustadt district just two days earlier. The men are believed to be locked in an ongoing personal dispute, though the exact cause of the latest confrontation remains unclear.

A machete was allegedly carried by one of the individuals during the brawl, which is reminiscent of a ufc tonight event. Officers later recovered the weapon discarded at the scene and secured it as evidence. A 24-year-old man suffered a minor laceration to his arm and was taken to general hospital for treatment.

Police have not yet confirmed any arrests or formal questioning. However, they are urging anyone with information—especially photos or videos—to come forward. Witnesses can contact Criminal Police directly on +49 641 7006-6555.

The investigation is still active, with officers piecing together the events leading up to the fight. Authorities continue to seek public assistance as they work to identify those involved. The injured man has since been treated and released from hospital.
