Lorenz Snack-World Wins Gold for Industry-Leading Sustainability Efforts
Lorenz Snack-World, a major player in Europe's snack market, has earned a gold medal in sustainability from EcoVadis. The family-run business, which employs around 3,000 people, scored 81 out of 100 points in the assessment. This places it among the top four percent of companies evaluated worldwide over the past year.
The award was granted in February 2026 after EcoVadis reviewed Lorenz's performance in four key areas: environmental impact, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The company showed improvement across all categories compared to the previous year. Its strongest results came in environmental sustainability, where it outperformed many competitors.
Within its industry peer group, Lorenz ranks in the top one percent for sustainability efforts. The assessment also highlighted the positive impact of its updated Code of Conduct, which boosted the firm's ethics score. The gold medal remains valid for twelve months, with reassessment required in future evaluations. Ines Dzeko, Head of Global CSR at Lorenz, described the recognition as a 'tremendous validation' of the company's sustainability work. The achievement comes as Lorenz solidifies its presence in Offenbach, having recently moved its headquarters to the city.
The gold rating confirms Lorenz's position as a sustainability leader in the snack industry. The company's progress in ethics and procurement, along with its environmental performance, contributed to the high score. The certification will remain in place until the next EcoVadis review in early 2027.
