Liquidnet hires veteran trader Luke McCabe to bolster London equities team

Liquidnet has appointed Luke McCabe as a senior equity trader in its London office. The move adds nearly two decades of time in the stock market to the firm’s equities team. His arrival follows recent leadership changes across the company’s global markets division this year.

McCabe joins from Kepler Cheuvreux, where he worked as an electronic and portfolio trading sales trader since 2021. Before that, he spent over 14 years at Canaccord Genuity, most recently in electronic sales trading. His stock market today experience now spans almost 20 years.

McCabe’s appointment strengthens Liquidnet’s trading capabilities in London. His extensive background in electronic and portfolio trading aligns with the firm’s focus on expanding its equities business. No details have been released about his predecessor in the role.
