Liebherr and Röder Strengthen Aerospace Partnership for Embraer E-Jet Maintenance
Liebherr-Aerospace and Röder PrÀzision have expanded their long-standing partnership to boost maintenance support for the Embraer E-Jet E1 programme. The collaboration will focus on overhauling key aerospace components, ensuring faster turnaround times and higher quality standards for operators.
Röder has invested heavily in new machinery and workforce training to meet growing demand from Liebherr-Aerospace, the original equipment manufacturer for the E-Jets' gear systems.
Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg remains the primary supplier of landing gear systems for the Embraer E1 generation of E-Jets. The company will continue to handle core processesâincluding disassembly, assembly, testing, and certificationâat its Lindenberg facility.
Under the expanded agreement, Röder will now overhaul structural parts of the main landing gear, adding to its existing work on nose landing gear components. Individual component repairs will take place at Röder's site in Egelsbach, while the overhaul programme for structural parts will gradually ramp up from 2026.
Bastian Heberer, CEO of the Röder Group, highlighted the importance of the partnership, calling it a relationship built on trust. Röder's recent investments in advanced equipment and employee training aim to strengthen its role as a dependable MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) partner for aerospace engineering. These upgrades will help Liebherr maintain stable production capacity and shorter lead times for E-Jet operators.
The expanded cooperation between Liebherr-Aerospace and Röder will increase maintenance efficiency for Embraer E-Jet E1 operators. With upgraded facilities and a skilled workforce, Röder is set to play a larger role in supporting the programme's long-term needs. The overhaul of structural components will begin scaling up in 2026.
