Late-night crash at Frankfurt intersection leaves one driver injured

A collision between two cars took place late in the evening at the intersection of Frankfurter Straße and Martin-Luther-Platz. The crash involved a 44-year-old driver from Neuhof and a 60-year-old from Fulda. Authorities are now examining the cause of the incident.

At around 10 p.m., the 60-year-old Fulda resident was driving an Opel through Martin-Luther-Platz. At the same time, the 44-year-old from Neuhof was travelling along Frankfurter Straße in a Peugeot. The two vehicles collided at the junction, though the exact reason remains unclear.

The force of the impact sent the Peugeot spinning before it struck a nearby streetlamp. The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported.

The accident caused significant damage, with repairs estimated at roughly €21,000. Investigators continue to look into the circumstances leading up to the crash.

The intersection remains under scrutiny as authorities piece together what happened. The injured driver has since received medical care, while the financial cost of the damage has been assessed. Further details may emerge as the investigation progresses.
