Las Vegas Unveils New Campaign as Casino Revenue Soars
Las Vegas, the entertainment capital of the world, has unveiled a new advertising campaign, 'Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas', to attract more visitors. Meanwhile, casinos across Nevada have reported a significant increase in revenue for August 2025.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), the primary organisation responsible for promoting Las Vegas, launched the new campaign during a high-profile football game to maximise reach and entice potential visitors. The campaign's tagline, 'Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas', is a nod to the city's iconic welcome sign.
Casino revenue in Clark County, where Las Vegas is located, surged by 5.3% year-over-year in August 2025, reaching $1.03bn. The Las Vegas Strip, the city's iconic 4.2-mile stretch of resorts and casinos, contributed $679.3m to this total, marking a 5.5% increase from 2024.
Statewide, Nevada's casinos generated $1.22bn in revenue, a 5.4% increase from August 2024. Other regions also saw growth: Washoe County, home to Reno, reported a 5.3% increase to $98.1m, while Carson Valley Area casinos grew by 3.3% to $12.7m. South Lake Tahoe casinos saw a modest 0.5% increase to $26.7m.
Nevada collected $77.1m in percentage fees in August 2025, a substantial 33.71% rise from the same month in 2024. This increase reflects the overall growth in casino revenue across the state.
The new 'Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas' advertising campaign signals the city's continued efforts to attract visitors and boost tourism. With casino revenue across Nevada rising, including significant increases on the Las Vegas Strip, the state's gambling industry appears robust and thriving.
