L 2603 between Geisa and Wiesenfeld to close for four weeks

A stretch of the L 2603 between Geisa and Wiesenfeld will close for nearly four weeks starting Monday, November 24. The road will reopen on Friday, November 21, at 5:00 PM—briefly—before shutting again for repairs. Authorities have arranged detours and adjusted bus routes to manage the disruption.

The closure begins on Monday, November 24, at 7:00 AM and lasts until Friday, December 19, at 2:00 PM. The affected section runs from Geisa’s town exit to the junction with K 93, near Wiesenfeld’s centre. The works are being overseen by Straßen.NRW, the regional transport authority.

The road will remain closed until mid-December, with detours and bus adjustments in place. Drivers and commuters should plan extra time for travel, especially between Geisa and Wiesenfeld. The works aim to complete necessary repairs before the winter season.
